Central Intelligence Agency

Central Intelligence Agency is an experimental theater performance that makes the audience be the performer. Four large projections show text to communicate with anybody who entered the stage. In front of each canvas one camera-robot automatically captures face or hands of near by persons. This live feed is being shown on the screen, so that the performer and the rest of the audience sees a close-up of the “agent”. It is a performance, installation, and interactive environment. It is about what we see—and how our judgment becomes hostage to what we see. Polish performance artist Wojtek Ziemilski and Quadrature presented a work-in-progress during an EMPAC residency in upstate New York.
